Welcome to the Southeast Arkansas Horse Show Association website.
The purpose of this association shall be aimed toward the younger riders in effort to increase their riding ability, promote friendship and fair play, and provide experience in competition with similar aged children. This will provide incentive to work hard in order to attend and be competitive at larger shows.
Southeast is one of the 12 regional horse show associations that cover the State of Arkansas. Southeast's top five contestants in all events compete at the Arkansas State Championship Horse Show in Little Rock.
The Arkansas State Horse Show is the Largest State Horse Show in the World. Throughout the show, advocates and spectators, reach over 19,000. There are around 2,000 horses showing each year with over 1,300 riders. The 45th Annual event will take place Labor Day weekend at Barton Coliseum in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Southeast offers many events for both young and adult riders. Pleasure classes, reining, horsemanship, gaited - fast and slow, lead line for children, pony classes - for ponies 52" and smaller, and speed events. The show season ends with an annual year end awards banquet.
Southeast Horse Show Association is a non-profit organization governed by a Board of Directors, consisting of five Board Members, the President, Vice President, and the Secretary and Treasurer. The President represents Southeast on the Board of Directors of the Arkansas State Horse Show Association.
Southeast Horse Show Association members always do well at the Arkansas State Horse Show and have taken home many awards.
Come and show with us in 2009!
